Electronic Logging Device – ELD/E-Log

An electronic logging device is a DOT-certified device used to track a driver’s hours of service. It’s connected to your vehicle’s engine to record hours driven. They replaced the paper logs that were originally used to track hours. These devices were made a requirement starting December 18, 2017.

We cover more about ELDs in episode 16 of our podcast Haulin Assets.
