[/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”How does the Broker Authority application process work?”] Once we complete the application for your Broker Authority, you will be issued a pending MC number. This MC number will remain pending for 3 weeks as part of a federal protest period. In order for your authority to be granted at the end of the protest period, you need to have two filings in place.

  • The BMC-84 or BMC-85, which is a form submitted by your insurance company or financial institution to verify a $75,000 surety bond or trust fund. If you need help obtaining a bond, let us know and we can point you to some reputable companies.
