Get Your Broker Authority
A broker authority is a license granted by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). A freight broker arranges transportation of freight between shippers and motor carriers.
Our freight broker authority package includes:
- Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Filing Fee – $300
- BOC-3 Processing Agent (We’ll file it for you for free)
- DOT Number
- MC Number
At Motor Carrier HQ, we understand what you need to run your business. Don’t get stuck in the slow lane figuring out the rules, regulations, and paperwork.
What to Expect After You Place Your Order
We’ll contact you soon after you place your order to get the information we need. From there, we’ll take care of the rest and get you your broker authority as soon as possible.
Much like getting your new motor carrier operating authority, the DOT number will be active right away, but the MC number will be active in 21 days after the required public vetting period. We’ll help you make sure you have your other filings in place during this waiting period, including helping you get the required bonds.
Not sure what type of operating authority you need? Give us a call so we can answer any questions you have about getting your new business started.
Why Should I Use Motor Carrier HQ?
We’ve seen people time and time again get the wrong operating authority. We make sure it gets done right the first time, saving you time and money. Broker authority is not to be confused with your motor carrier operating authority.
