Safety Upgrade Request

Upgrade Your FMCSA Safety Rating

Did your trucking company get a conditional or unsatisfactory safety rating by the FMCSA? Are you an owner operator with a high CSA safety rating? Having a safety rating other than satisfactory can be very damaging to your trucking company.

In order to get your safety rating increased to Satisfactory, you must make a formal request to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). That process is long and daunting. Don’t let paperwork slow your company down. We can shorten the process and make it simple for you and your company.

How Is a Conditional or Unsatisfactory Safety Rating Hurting Your Trucking Company?

Having any safety rating other than satisfactory could be bad news for your trucking company. Besides dealing with the FMCSA, there are a number of problems that could happen because of a bad safety rating.

  • It makes it harder to get loads, especially from brokers.
  • Shippers or brokers may pay you less for loads.
  • Your insurance premiums will increase (sometimes by 25%).

Don’t Let Paperwork Slow Your Company Down

The DOT requires a very specific format for a safety rating upgrade request. You must show evidence that you have corrected your safety violations. You must also provide all of the supporting documentation in accordance with FMCSA guidelines. The entire plan often includes hundreds of pages of documents, even for small trucking companies.

That is why you want an expert like us on your side. We will not only help you develop the plan, but will also help you implement it so you don’t continue to have problems. We want to help you keep your trucking company running.
